BALDWINSVILLE, NY — On July 17, 2026, at approximately 3:30 a.m., members of the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Baldwinsville Police Department and the New York State Police, responded to a fatal motor vehicle collision involving a passenger vehicle and an e-bike on Syracuse Street, near Grove Street.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a vehicle was traveling northbound on Syracuse Street when an individual operating an e-bike, traveling southbound against traffic, veered into the driving lane and collided with the vehicle.
The operator of the e-bike, an adult female, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Greater Baldwinsville Ambulance Corps. The driver of the passenger vehicle remained on scene, was uninjured, and is cooperating fully with investigators.
This remains an active and open investigation.
