VILLAGE OF SOLVAY, N.Y. — On August 13, 2026, at approximately 3:00 a.m., officers with the Solvay Police Department and deputies with the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of gunfire near the intersection of Woods Road and Charles Avenue.
Upon arrival, law enforcement determined that shots were fired in the direction of a residence and a vehicle. Both the residence and the vehicle were struck by gunfire. No injuries have been reported. At this time, the suspect is not in custody.
Preliminary investigation indicates this was an isolated incident and no threat to the public. The scene remains active and early in the investigation. Updates will be provided when available. This is an ongoing scene and investigation.
